    I tried a keyword search, it came back with an HTTP 500 error.

    Only comes back with a limited number though - not much point doing a 6 month search as the chances are you won't get anything earlier than 3 months showing up

    It's a standard thing which comes with the MegaBBS package.
    It is not well written and was never designed to cope with the database size this BBS generates.

    If you know who posted whatever you're searching for a combination keyword/author search comes up trumps every time.
