The manager has been saying all season that he has had no money to spend on players and the club is losing thousands every week. The perfect answer would be for the team to play such attractive, entertaining football that the fans would flock back in their thousands. But to build such a team would mean money and the money is not available if the fans won't come through the turnstiles. Mind you the manager was Allan Clarke, just found an old Chronicle up the loft 23/05/86 some things never change eh! Oh and it was £40000 a week we were losing!
Well i aint seen much of the manager saying that he aint got money to spend. Always seen him say that the board have always backed him And never seen him say that the club is losing thousands each week, and don't think Cryne would be happy for him to keep saying it
Just meant that it was'nt long since that we were in the **** and everybody was talking about it as though it was something new ie not having enough fans etc
losing money not wrong how many players do we pay not to play some agents must love dealing with Barnsley
And there was me thinking crowds were rising. I noticed the other day that we now seem to have over 10k home fans every match wheras last season it was about 9k. I could be wrong.
