I caught an episode last night

It was much better than I'd expected, based on mi sheila's description of it.

There's not much in the way of decent stuff produced here.

The novel is really good, was annoyed when I saw I'd missed the drama (said TM, sounding rather camp).

No idea. Definitely not at work, though. Honest.

Wasn't over enamoured with the book myself. Story is good and the characters are well fleshed out, but found the narrative tough going.

I thought the book was one of the worst books I've ever read myself - could not get into it at all. The central theme of the book, the slap at the BBQ, seem to be a mere distraction in what was otherwise a general waffle about different people's lives. I couldn't see the point of any of it - none of it related to the story.
