TBH I would have preferred us to take a stronger team and go on in this cup. I know many on here say its a worthless competition but we did win it and it made us a very good amount of money, not to mention a fabulous day at Wembley.
but on saying that I guess its also a good stage to blood some of our younger players who are on the fringe of the first team squad.
It’s not a bad balance. I’d have liked to see Woodrow get some more game time, and maybe a stronger bench to call upon if needed.
Having put out a full strength team in the FA cup it's exactly what I expected. I also agree with it, Saturday's game is so much more important
Same official competition but in reality a completely different thing. Different format, different clubs in it, different entry requirements, different rules, different name, different trophy.
there is a fancy restraunt down in the Bay at Cardiff you can get with your fish a side dish of Pureéd peas... in my speak they are Mushy peas.
No. We won a competition without youth teams, no groups, no straight to pens at a draw and no bonus points. It's not just had a name change its totally different.
We’ve got a huge squad by league one standards so it’s great to be in this competition & let everyone have a game. As it goes on & if we have a chance of going to Wembley I’d like to see us really go for it & play a stronger side
I hope the fringe players play until we are out. Think it's unfair and bad for morale if these lads got us to Wembley playing every round, only for the league first team to get their first run out of the competition by playing the final.
