Didn’t have any impact on the game apart from O keefe with the goal. I’m not convinced on watters or benson this season. January going to be massive for us.

I've given up on Benson - and I had high hopes for him.
And I don't give up easily.

Yeah I’ve given up on Benson. It’s a shame the talent is there but the desire not so much

Benson's injuries have taken their toll. He had a brief spell at the start of last season but other than that he's been a very poor signing. Needs moving on in January.
I see nothing in Watters either which is a worry when we've given him a 4 year deal. If we could loan him out in January I'd prefer us to bolster the front line with a good loan signing if possible.

I'd say the two fullbacks who were brought on had a massive impact, Cadden was a bit wasteful in possession and Cotter had one of the worst performances I've seen in a long time. Fetching on Dodgson who was comfortable in possession and added a different, fresher option in the closing moments, and O'Keefe offered more defensively and a mind that wasnt scrambled like Cotters was. Plus he scored the equaliser which was lovely.

I believe Jalo was only on the bench and got minutes due to Cosgrove being out and even though he was largely ineffective - it was valuable minutes for him

Watters I have to agree with, he's not a fantastic player at all but when he came on last game he set up the third goal so I can see the logic in fetching him on.

Benson looks a lost cause, looked knackered after 5 minutes, very slow and lethargic as well.

I’m like that with Watters , just see him as fresh legs coming on, given up on him providing other than the ( very) occasional goal threat.

Benson was okay last season before injury. Apart from Cole I can't think of another player who has improved this season.

True, give you that one. So 2 players who have improved on last season.

MDG too has blossomed after a chronically poor start.

So there cannot be a convincing case for Collins stunting player development, if 3 of them are turning out to be palpably better.

MDG could have arrived in Barnsley, immediately overdosed on Percy Turners and gone into a meat coma. Once the self-ban came into effect, he was back to the player that attracted the scouts in the first place...

    Russell and Cole definitely

Williams has maintained his own high standards in a different position

I’d say cotter has looked both better and worse than last season but I think that’s just Barry.

If Kane keeps up the standards of the last few games then I’d say he is improving but appreciate it’s early days.

For the rest it’s hard to tell as for one reason ur another the following starters weren’t here last season

    Roberts / Killip
    O’keefe
    Styles
    Cosgrove
    McAtee
    Mael
    Syles
    McCart

    are all newbies

Mdg wasn't here last season I'm talking about the players who were and even including watters who looked a little lively off the bench at times last season.

Personally I prefer Williams at wing back than center back but that's just my opinion.
