i just repiled to a question I thought was asked, only to find out I answered a different question...it must be past my bedtime! 4 now!!
Thats my problem Was the question - why is the meeting being held in the Exec at the club or was it why is the Barnsley Supporters trust advertising its meetings on a Barnsely bullitin board In either case I still dont know what Don is getting at
RE: I know why it's at the club. So bearing in mind that for as long as I can remember the Supporters Trust have announced their meetings on this BBS and asked for the post to be a sticky why your question this time My thoughts were its a Barnsley football fans forum - so informing when trust meetings (usually with a plug that you can join on the night so it is also helping swell numbers) doesnt seem that strange Wish I could go to be honest - I might ask for clarification of their position regarding Oakwell AM
Make your mind up The other day you were wanting a posting from the Trust to explain actions on here, now you complain about something being posted on here to inform fans! It's an open forum.
That could be his point If they use this board to give out information that suits them then shouldn't they also answer the unpopular questions put to them on here? Or should they pick and choose when it is to be a media outlet for them?
Simple answer to that I believe the trust couldn't answer the questions Windy and others asked the other day because they didn't have the answers. From what I could tell they were as bemused as anyone as to why the club had used their name on the Oakwell AM statement. I understand they weren't involved in any way nor were they briefed before the statement went out. Perhaps they just wanted to see what had actually happened before saying anything on here.
As as for releasing infromation on here re meetings and such,it would bepetty to say the leastto suggest that they're selective with the information they release. Even if they are, I'm sure there'd always be a reason for it. But that shouldn't stop them keeping the fans in here updated about trust meetings.

I didn't say it should stop them, I said that could be what windy was getting at. If the supporters trust were not involved in negotiations then they should have denied it. Simple as that really. Lets not forget how quickly the club turned on them last season after alan bloore released an incorrect statement.

Its not always that simple tho is it, the trust a just a bunch of fans spread across the country all with jobs like anyone else. They can't issue a denial until they're sure that none of the board hasn't been consulted, emailed, or whatever, even if they're sure they haven't been they need to be sure before denying owt don't they?

Yes but surely the supporters trust board can easily contact each other when it's something as important as having a big decision like this blamed in part on them
