I somehow doubt that. We still have some Germanic players in the squad and I’d not be surprised if the next manager hailed from the Austria/Germany region
Stendel I like a lot, and felt he was treated terribly. Struber I never warmed to the same, but felt he did a fantastic job steering us to safety after he had time to work with the squad during lockdown. He then proudly told of how he was talking to any number of clubs, which the club vilified Stendel for, before selecting a team and giving an interview deigned to ensure his exit, one way or another. I won't remember him fondly, but give him a lot of credit for keeping us in the division. I would have no problem with another German/Austrian manager. They both performed well, one I liked personally, the other I didn't. As far as player recruitment from the area goes, I'm less than impressed, and hope we don't continue recruiting from that market. It seems clear to me that what is available is not suited to the English leagues.
