...is the fact that Davey has now 'gone to ground'.

I didn't expect him to say anything straight after the game, but would have thought we'd have had a soundbite of some sort today (be it an apology or the usual 'we were unlucky' tripe). Something to at least acknowledge the situation we're now in.

Total silence is really pissing me off though. It's the PR equivalent of standing motionless on the touchline during the game - it suggests to me he has nothing to offer.

Me too, I expected something, even if it was a load of ******.
Cryne hasn't had much to say either, whether it be in defence of Davey or a ralying cry to the fans for one last push. The way we are being treated is fecking disgusting.

I don't really expect to hear from Patrick Cryne, unless it's an announcement of some sort. After all, he's opted to take a back seat and is above all criticism as far as I'm concerned.

I did expect something from the person we're supposed to have faith in to guide us out of this mess and who we're expected to rally around and support. Silence is a terrible option.

After the Davey out chanting I really did expect PC to release something to the press at least to back his manager at until the end of the season. He is a proven businessman, he knows how important customers are. We are being treated like **** right now but they will want us to back them again come the summer.

opted to take a back seat?

His decision not to bring in a chairman means that he very much runs the club

Cryne "he is above ALL criticism".... WHY

ok so he came in and apparently SAVED us... well Mr Doyle did that too, granted the fans were not happy at Mr Doyle being in charge , but he did step forwardfor whatever reason when none were coming to the front. Then comes forth Mr Cryne and becomes the saviour...but was not Barnsley Council a HUGE part too in our salvation. To continue... the Cryne regime sacks Richie and installs Davey, apart from 2 days of glory and avoidances of relegation how the hell have we progressed. Mr Cryne intimated he expected a place among the middle 8 this term, that is not gonna happen. So the question has to be asked is this, if the mid table finish was the mandate given to Mr Davey what will be Mr Crynes reaction when Clearly this is not going to happen, AND the reality of a relegation is absolutely possible,Also I have to wonder if Mr Crynes obsession with a managerial stability is going to take the club even lower down the leagues.

some will go , but the customer base will be vastly reduced if we go down....and even moreso if Davey stays.

    'STRONGER TOGETHER'

What happened to that short-lived little campaign?
Thought it was quite smart at the time. But like everything else apparently. it faded away quietly.

The council put in a lot of money to get that land.

I suppose they will want something in return at some point.

    They still say...

"We are Barnsley, we are stronger together" before kick off at every home match. Does that count?
