    I suppose the problem for us at the moment is, as far as negotiating transfers are concerned, the selling club has the upper hand as there is plenty of time in the transfer window left so we might be priced out of some deals or have to pay more than if the deal was done at the end of the window.

    The trouble is we will no doubt be completely cut adrift by the end of the window with the current squad - we arguably are already.

    ben will do his business in private. danny has also said he wants to keep things private until deals are done, as quality is very thin on the ground in january. i agree with both of them. i also don't think we will sign many players. too many on the payroll and flicker spent most of what we have. sounds like PC has had to put his hand in his pocket again.
