As the days tick by it becomes more clear that we had no real plans or targets in mind. Even when PC & SD both admitted weeks ago we had areas that needed strengthening. I think the only bit of planning for this window was getting JCR on a 3 year deal so that we were in a strong postition to rebuff any approaches or at least demand top dollar for him. I know people will say there is plenty of time but come on, we should have had a plan A, B,C & D in place and when plan A (Ward) failed plan B should have been rolled out. I dont just mean strikers either this is the time to pick up a few bargins whilst peoples contracts are expiring and clubs looking to cash in B4 they leave for nothing in the summer. 16 days in and nothing even close to happening, I think it shows a real lack of ambition from the club. Next season with the new TV deal Championship teams will be getting £m's for some of the bigger clubs its nothing but to us it would double or even tripple our turnover, we cant afford not to be in this divison to cash in!!
Hold your horses pal. whats the rush? Players become cheaper at the end of the window, especially those out of contract at the end of the year. Hardly any business has been done - wonder if all fans at all clubs are so impatient.
RE: Hold your horses pal. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...w-2009--Sportsmails-list-completed-deals.html Plenty of business has been done Yes we still have 2 weeks to go but that doesnt help us this weekend... Between them Macken/K.O/Ritgers this season Pld 35 (34) Gls 7. Yes they work hard but we need a goal scorer..
