all the fans need is the occasional insight into how he is running the club (yes as "none football" people we are still capable of understanding it).

The club has got a marvelous tool to get the fans on side (ie, the main web site) andthey aren't using it to its full potential. The giant steps he has taken over the last few years to get the club to where it is and the efforts he is making to keeping it there are lost on people because it isn't publicised properly. Use the website Gordon, get the fans onside, its amazing how much support you can drum up if you get the fans feeling they are part of the overall effort rather than an uneducated hinderence who knows nowt abart footabll so don't need to be kept informed.

Come on gordon, use your tool properly

i agree, he's just not media savvy at all,

but i guess, before as a businessman it was never a spotlight type of company therefore it seems that this is his first time of ever having to deal with the media in this sort of way, he's proabably leanring like the rest of us would in the circumstances.

but, and i take some reassurance from this, if someone is good with the media, good at the PR then there is always the greater chance that we will be misled or influenced without us knowing it, at least this way, what comes out of the club may be more raw, in piecemeal fasion, not nicely packaged, but at least we can, at least, know it is being said honestly.

ps. and i agree also about the website, and the PR and the marketting could all be better, but shep is trying to sort the finances out and trying to bring in new players and trying to help us avoid relegation, maybe the PR is somewhere down the list during the last 2 years of fire fighting?
