    Rejoice! Begins tomorrow!

I love the jumps, but I've always been more of a Flat man. These days though, with 48 hour declarations you need to be on to the finalized fields as soon as they come out. I'm on Persian Force (1.15), Garrus (1.50) and Modern News/ Mujtaba (Lincoln Handicap, 3.35), but all are shorter than on Thursday.

The maiden stakes at 4.10 is a later-opening market and Groundbreaker is the obvious favourite. But Haggas has a Galileo debutant running for The Queen (General Idea). This horse is Derby-entered, so may (who knows?) live up to it's breeding. Only around 5/2, but is certainly interesting.

An EW fancy for Brunch ?
Second last year behind the handicap snip Haqeeqy.

Betting companies are offering first 6 or 7 places so a rise of 4 in his rating should maybe give him a place.

16/1 has been taken but around 12/1 should be available

Solid form, x11. And if you can get the place terms I can see the logic. It seems to me that the winner more often than not is a potential Group horse masquerading as a handicapper. Hence Penitent, Secret Brief, Addeyb, Auxerre and Haqeeqy.

That is an understatement ….. time will tell about the opposition but they certainly weren’t all from Blackpool beach !
