I've seen some wild chickens ... ... just before they were to be plucked. Believe me they were more than just a tad upset !
Top 10 http://www.rspb.org.uk/birdwatch/results/top10.asp the garden survey has the spuggie top but has the chaffinch in number 5. If you search the RSPB for commonest bird it say chaffinch is the second most common. So still not sure
I don't think they can accurately measure it so the RSPB garden survey is the one most quoted.</p> As for the most common in Britain overall it seems to be accepted that it's now the Wood pigeon though.</p>
