Watched the game with a Burnley fan last night who asked me why do Barnsley fans get on Odejayi's back? His view was that he had a very good game. Held the ball up well, set up a sitter for Macken he should have scored, won numerous free kicks and corners AND most importantly he was an outlet for the ball. The second he went off we could not clear the ball from our own lines and it was one way traffic.

Obviously he missed a cracking chance and should have scored it but there isn't another striker at the club who would have made that chance, pace, power, lack of composure.

I said to my mate he will get dogs abuse tomorrow, so I log on, first post I read was we were playing with 10 men last night. Absolute *****.

He missed a sitter, have a go at him for that fair enough but he played well last night and we were a better team for having him on the pitch.

probably because after he missed that sitter (again)

his head went down and he shrank and hid for the rest of the game.

Are you sure? He was sulking and dragging his feet mostly in the second half ! What the hell was up with him? He didnt want to know, i can't believe Davey kept him on the pitch in the second half.

I don't slate Odejayi mind, thought he did well in the first half, maybe he was knackered second half.

I think you really needed to be there to see just how poor he was.

Never have I seen a player hide, not make runs and generally try and be anywhere else other than on a football pitch.

    No he didn't

Especially in the middle of the second half when we were up against it. Every single time the ball went forward it either stuck or he won us a free kick to take the pressure off when Burnley were pressing. My mates comments came at the end of the game too.

He's played two games in two days and had run his blood to water. He covered more ground than anyone

I'd really like to know what you guys look at when you go to the match.

OR get influenced by the people around you who give him abuse

There were two occasions when the abuse was audible on the telly when a pass was played nowhere near him yet he took the stick. my mate actually laughed at us

    Eh?

He played with his head down, he was forever out of position sulking. He did not want to be there. Fair enough he won afew freekicks down the right hand side. I hope he was just knackered, but if not his attitude stank.

    No, not at all.

Sky dont show players off the ball. What you didnt see was Odejayi was wondering around like a lost dog for 90% of the game.

I dont normally get on at players, but its annoying me that he's been here for ages, failed to deliver yet gets too much time on the pitch. Other players deserve the same chance.

    What other players?

Rigters? Who is overweight and really doesn't look bothered.

Mostto? Who runs around like an headless fly. Simply, not good enough to play the striker role.

Coulson? Maybe, I'd like to see more of him.

Until another player is given a chance, get behind KO. It's really not that difficult.

So did anyone see his brilliant flick on for Macken's missed chance

or are we choosing to ignore that?

Which by the way was a worse miss than KO's

No mate, people would rather verbally abuse him.

Why? Well, I suppose they have to shout at something to let the frustrations of their sordid little lives flow away.

Do I really need to go into Davey's transfer record?

Not just the players that are here now - but the ones Davey has decided where not good enough and released.

From the strikers released and the ones available now Odejayi would be in the top 3 that shouldnt be playing.

I thought he played well in the first half, like i said. In the second half (apart from the odd half hearted run) he did not want to be on the pitch, it was obvious.

You little jumpt up girl (2gay)
