Course it was. Most people in the ground were applauding him for acknowledging the stick with a wave. He's the ultimate "love to hate" figure, and although he has been known to annoy the hell out of me, I have a grudging respect for the strength of his commitment. He has always reacted to crowds, a Leeds fan at work told me that when they were leading Sheff U 1-0 late in the first half of a game a couple of seasons ago the Leeds fans behind him were chanting "Warnock, what's the score?" etc., and he jumped up of his seat frantically pointing at his watch as if to say "there's still time"!
When Davey invariably leaves for the Real Madrid job, I'd be more than happy to have Colin at Oakwell. You get 100% with him, which is all a fan can ask for.
