    Blackburn made an offer with a serious increase in wages but he would have been 2nd choice keeper. He and his agent decided he would be better remaining with us and playing first team football.

    He also agreed terms with Arsenal earlier in his career but the deal fell through when his then club decided they wanted a bigger transfer fee.

    Football's cruel eh?

    Yeah, thats the way football is. At least he his going to be in the top flight in Germanyl, i think thats what he would ave wanted. Also. this may sound silly, But, maybe he has a chance of gettin in the National side.

    one of best keepers i've seen down at the well
    that injury cost us half a mill in transfer fees i reckon
    very sorry to see him go
