Is when the happy clappers come out to try and shame everyone who has dared criticized anything about the club.

'We were conceding 2 or more week in week out, but I didn't complain about the defenders or tactics so I'm a PROPER fan'

'We'd lost 5 out of 6, but anyone who wasn't brown-nosing all the staff and players is not a REAL supporter'

'I'm the most perfect, amazing, loyal, incredible fan in the world because I'm always super positive all the time'

Why can't people just act accordingly? Things are going badly you show displeasure, things are going well you show your satisfaction. Praise the players who are performing well in your opinion, offer constructive criticism to those that aren't.

The worst thing is when people can't just be happy that we've won a game. We're all supposed to be Barnsley fans at the end of the day, we're supposed to support the same team.

I agree actually. There are too many people who would rather point score with other posters with the benefit of hindsight rather than just happily reacting to a victory. Perhaps there was a slight over-reaction in some quarters to the poor run of form, but most comments were sensible appraisals of our shortcomings. No need to have those rammed back down people's throats after a win. Why not just be happy with the three points?

I remember people getting criticism for suggesting we were light in midfield back in August. Now people bemoan we're short in midfield. Things change, results alter the context within which views are aired. No need to go back and lambast those who thought one thing when things turn out differently I'm not a major contributor to the board but even still it's a shame when loads of comments are more point scoring than genuine opinions.

Is it possible that's the point some folk are trying to make ? . We have so far had a fantastic calendar year, something that doesn't come along too often as a barnsley fan, but at the first sign of a bad run we suddenly have experts telling us how they knew it would happen.

Yes there is point scoring on this forum, just like there is on every other football forum, but it isn't one way.

I think the point is not quite actually what you've raised. Surely the point should be genuine critique of the team moving forward. If the team are winning but there are serious flaws then it's right for someone to flag it up and same the other way around. The thing that grates with me is when anyone tries to offer a critique and they simply get bad-mouthed because they are in the minority. There are always flaws with any team and there are always positives even when the team is shi.e.
Hope I'm not being too picky...
