The writing has been on the wall for months

The manner of our form at home and the results post Lincoln game against teams near the bottom have really shown us the team weaknesses and managerial ones too.
Our defence is weak as water and slow, whilst we lack creativity up front. It's been our away form that has kept us in the top six and that now has crumbled away. Poor recruitment in the summer has taken its toll because Watters, Shaw, Dallas, Lopata, Shepherd, Mc Cart, Killip etc were not up to the standard required to replace Anderson, Thomas, Kitchin, Collins and Norwood.
When Cole, Kane, Cadden and Williams depart this summer I hate to think where we will be come August.

 

I’d say we’d be improved if the four (deadwood) mentioned left .

 

But Kane, Cadden, Cole(in first half of season) have at least contributed more than anyone signed since last summer. Cosgrove has not started many games. MDG has has limited success and Earl started well but has faded recently. It's OK saying the four above are deadwood but at least they have show some ability in some games.

 

Cole was great up to January and I think Kane overall has been one of our better players. Cadden has had a poor season for me and Williams too. Think only Kane of the 4 will get a Championship club. Be interesting where they all end up.

 

No one could have predicted losing Pines to injury. That was a big blow.
