With ten games to go we were well placed just outside the play offs so had plenty to play for we had just won 6 on the bounce so the players must have been buzzing. We then lose one and it all goes to pot and we win just one more game before the end of the season. My point is Johnson Rode the wave started by Burton and Hecky but when he fell of it he was unable to pick the team back up despite the club still having a shot at the playoffs. The alarm bells should have started ringing then all that's happened this season is a continuation of that bad run. The winning run that Johnson was lucky to drop in the middle masked the real evidence that Johnson like the last god knows how many managers struggles at Oakwell even though some were successful at other clubs before joining Barnsley and have been since getting fired. Is it just a coincidence or a symptom of bigger problems than bad managers at Oakwell.

They were LJ's victories, silly to claim otherwise. Let's not forget Bunny and Hecky oversaw a 5-1 mauling at Crawley.

The match that set the alarm bells ringing for me was Notts County away. We'd scored early on and then missed a few chances but second half they threw everything forward to the point where they were playing with 2 defenders.

We persisted with 451 thus giving them nothing to think about and they got their equaliser and had they scored 5 mins earlier they'd have won it. He completely failed to react to this and thus handed the impetus to Notts County.

Yes but he then couldn't buy a win despite the playoffs being within reach that should have set alarm bells ringing. This seasons form as just followed the form at the end of last season even though a lot of the playing staff are different.

I agree with that. It's quite possibly the worst run of form/games that I can remember, considering this is L1 and the clubs who've beaten us and the standard of football on offer. But, it is what it is. Not sure a sacking will alter much long term.

John O'Sullivan was the main reason for that run of victories
