3500dhs in the UAE couldnt be arsed working out if it was cheap/expensive dont want one anyway, happy with xbox360
You sure ? Only articles I can find says the backwards compatibility (for PS2 and 1 games) isn't as strong as it uses emulation rather than the physical PS2 chips, so very old PS2 titles won't work, but the rest of the spec is actually slightly better and will support online gaming better.
Its the same, except one small difference
All thats different is that instead of the "emotion chip" that allows it to play PS1 and PS2 games, the EU version uses software emulation. They've done this to make it cheaper, and the issue is that not all older games will be supported.
However because its a bit of software, firmware upgrades will solve most problems with compatibility in the future.
So, this massive omission that various websites are talking about amounts to a very small difference, and if you're not wanting to play PS2 games on it there's no issue anyway. Why anyone would fork out £450 to play old last gen games anyway is beyond me.

speaking of games...can anyone reccomend any decent 360 games? apart fom gears of war. is fight night round 3 anygood? round 2 was crap on the old Xbox.

FN 3 is great Dead rising is good - difficult to read without HD tv but great fun
Godfather isn't bad
F.E.A.R is scary

RE: If they've done it to make it cheaper Because like everyone else they see Brits as a free ride to fastprofits.
By all accounts they've messed up this time though. My local HMV at work (in the City of London where they all have more cash than sense) still has PS3s in stock so you can just walk in and buy one.
