There appears to be a lot of people telling others to stop slagging off the new signings

Can anyone point me in the direction of where the new signings have been slagged off?

    I think they're ****.

And will continue to do so until they prove me wrong. There. I've said it.

I think I might adopt that attitude

Saves the embarrassment suffered when you big up a player only to eventually realise he's absolutely *****. I had that with Sean McClare.

Ran around a lot. I'm surprised more people didn't rate him. It's worked for plenty of Shukers since.

Counted 5 posts in 30 seconds

Not really slagging off, more casting doubt on their ability or the quality of the leagues they came from.

There are actually far more posts praising the club for the signings, and there are numerous posts (including one of mine) by members moaning about moaning for moaning's sake.

My opinion remains, however - if I were a potential investor I wouldn't touch BFC as I would not want myself and my family to risk being subject to the abuse that sometimes appears on here. I suspect though that most other clubs forums are broadly similar.

    Brendan O'Connell

Each generation gives one player who makes a living out of football, without once touching the ball

    Guessing!

Can't be bothered to copy links to them all, trying to do some work at the same time. Just had a quick trawl around to see how easy it is to find posts criticising (or at best doubting) the ability of the new players.

    I loved Brendan O'Connell

Scored 35 goals for us. Not bad for a player who never touched the ball. O'Connell left in '96. I wonder how many midfielders we've signed since then that have scored more than 35 goals. I'm guessing none.

    RE: Guessing!

I reckon the French guy will look pretty nippy going forward but won't be able to defend for toffee, and as such we will continue to leak about 60-70 goals per season.

TheBrazilian will look comfortable on ball, but will need 'time to adjust' to the pace and rough and tumble of the Championship.

All this without a shred of evidence.

You want to bum him yes ?

I liked him myself, but he did run around a lot without touching the ball. When he did touch it he invariably took it to the corner flag

    Eyes-Right O'Connell I called him

When he got the ball he set off on a diagonal run to the right corner flag and could only pass to players on his right. He just couldn't see anything on the left hand side of him. Still thought he was ace. He had more bottle and desire than the entire opposition.

He must've used to live around Huddersfield, used to see him out & about. Immaculate complexion, nice jumpers. Grooming maketh the man.
