...almost bordering on complacency from some lads. It seems like a lot of folk expect us to turn up and win. Every time I've expected a Barnsley side to win we've got beat. We'll be 4-0 down at half time.
Not sure it's complacency Just a reassurance that this time, when the pressure is on most fans feel confident that we'll turn up and we have a manger being positive about it. Whatever the outcome we'll have done ourselves justice. A season's over 46 games, losing tomorrow won't have relegated us, the full season will have done that, but we all know that the management and players are fighting and will fight to keep us up. At least we haven't given up without a whimper like last time we went down.
I would love to meet someone who is complacent about tomorrow. Maybe they could reassure me so I don't keep filling my pants with poo. Although that could be last nights home made curry to be fair
Re: Not sure it's complacency I was cautiously confident before Charlton at home, Wednesday at home, Wednesday away....etc etc. We have a habit this season of losing the grip slightly in big 6 pointers only to bounce back unexpectedly in the following game. Perhaps if we'd been trounced by Hull we'd be sure to win! I'm obviously nervous about tomorrow but only about the outcome. I'm not nervous about the players attitude, managerial decisions, or whether we'll turn up. Considering our league position the positivity coming from Flicker and the players is remarkable. My only advice to Flicker would be to treat the fact that a draw is likely to relegate us as a positive. There should be no doubts about how we approach the game, we have to win...plain and simple. If Hudds are unsure how to approach it we have to capitalise on that. Straight from the off....treat it like a home game.
Two litres of red down, middle of nowhere, arse like a wizards sleeve, and lots of sheep. It's a recipie for disaster
See you on here tomorrow evening Ive got a page written already on the disaster that is relegation, I'll have people slitting their wrists by the time the Football League show comes on.
It will be fine I have got a mate who's a helicopter pilot on standby. And anyway it's only 1.5 litres.
Earlier in the week I thought we'd win. I've now managed to convince myself that we'll only manage a draw and Peterborough will also get a draw. I'm assuming relegation in the hope that I'll be pleasantly surprised. Better that than the other way round I reckon.
Pleasantly surprised? "Amazing scenes here at The John Smiths Stadium as Barnsley score a last minute winner to secure their Championship Status. The Barnsley players and managerial staff are going wild on the pitch in celebration, while the Barnsley fans, for their part, look pleasantly surprised."
Im hoping were 4-0 up at half time, becuase I dont think I could cope if we going to the last 10 mins knowing either a goal by hudders of boro could relegate us
And that goal also condemns Huddersfield to life back in League 1 after just one season in the Championship - their fans look slightly put out!
Re: Not sure it's complacency Correct. Tomorrow's match will not relegate us. It will be the previous 25.
2 comments - I really dont expect us to win - Huddersfield have won 3 of their last 4 and are the divisions form side and need a point for safety themselves I dont expect it to be 4-0 to anyone - though if it is at least we would be out of our misery if we are 4-0 down I expect going into injury time we will be one goal away from safety - either needing to score it to stay up or not needing to conceed its the Barnsley way I wont be at all surprised if our fate is decided by a goal in injury time either at Huddersfield or Palace
