........ have a negative impact on the club. Usually one of the main benefits from such a good cup run (apart from the extra money earned) with all the extra TV/media coverage/publicity is the re-kindling of interest in the club for all the stayaways/part-timers, some of which you would hope will want to actually come back for a few league games when they realise there may be summat worth watching again. Unfortunately, the way the club have handled all the ticketing arrangements (for both league and cup games), this cup run could actually cost us some of our die-hard supporters, cos they have managed to piss hundreds if not thousands of people off in less than 3 or 4 weeks ...... unbelievable /poo
There is only Barnsley 'fans' that can see the negative side of everything. never EVER happy, always find something to moan about. cant get my f-uckin.g breath at times.
Do you think BFC have handled all of this well then? ... ....... a few thousand ST holders missed a day that they would remember for the rest of their lives at Anfield because DR came up with the 2 for 1 idea when we only had 6,000 tickets. Those ST holders saw the seats fall into the hands of some happy clappers who haven't been near Oakwell this season, or for a number of seasons. How do you think that felt? That was the biggest ****-up but all what's happened since has made matters worse. I know we have our fair share of whinging gets but to be honest, lots are in order this time. PS. I got a ticket for Liverpool, so it's not sour grapes, but I know lots who didn't who should have
If you dove into an icy cold lake and risked your own life to save your average Barnsley 'fan' from on here, the first words out of his mouth as you help him into a warm blanket would be "Erm, you've left my f-uck.n-g shoe in there."
RE: There is only Barnsley 'fans' The club are doing there best using an out dated system ,if you have any ideas or technical knowledge on how to improve the system beginning next season the club would like to hear from you,via the supporters trust, who will be looking at all options regarding improving the system on ticketing- e mail or write to the supporters trust .all correspondence will be looked into. http://www.barnsleyfcsupporterstrust.org.uk/contact.php open to ALL fans not necessarily supporters club members (although you can join and have a voice on all football related matters at meetings. once a month)
Don Rowing plans the next ticketting masterstroke [img=http://www-keeler.ch.cam.ac.uk/pictures/pictures2002/RichwithSand.jpg]
Don't listen to SM ... If Oakwell was sold off for a housing estate and all the fans enslaved and made to pick rice in the paddy fields of China, SM would be cheering the owners on.
The 2 tickets per ST for Anfield was a **** up. based on it never being a problem in the past, Don's rationale was based on us having a significant percentage of older ST holders that never travel away. it backfired, can uunderstand those that didnt attend being gutted, but those same people have every chance of getting a ticket for the Chelsea game. but it seems there's still summat to moan about. legitimate concerns is one thing, but this site is utterly ridiculous at the moment, there's not a single positive post regarding the busiest and perhaps most exciting week or so we've had for yonks. its pathetic and embarrassing.
They might be willing to listen... They were willing to listen to the ST when they said "1 Season ticket = 1 Chelsea ticket" But then they went and did their own thing.... again.
Typical positive post here.. http://www.barnsleyfc.org.uk/bbs/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=99123&mid=639485#M639485
