But the second half was all minus. We resorted to the old system of lumping it up the middle and every time the ball was back in our half. The mid field was non existent.

    maybe...............

it was because Soton played well after changing their system at half time-and bringing BRP on

if only the ref had had a bad game

at least we would have been united again

they did play well though second half

and there was some +ve from the second half, they missed that header late on and it didnt rain as much because I was sodden after the first half - and I missed the JCR goal

if Devaney had not stood up manfully against several

fouls against him just inside their half then the ball may not have broken to BWP and the whole complexion of the game may not have changed. Defining moment of the game ? KO's miss in the first half which would have put us 3 up.

Thought ref was trying to play a non existant advantage

as you say had he gone to ground we would have had a free kick and not conceded.

    The ref played advantage

And then when Devaney lost it a moment later, didn't pull it back.

Do you also think the KO miss was a defining moment ?

I didn't boo him and never will, but I've always defended him on the grounds that he didn't get the service as normally the ball is fizzing around his ears. today he got the ball palyed through to him for him to run on to several times and still he did not deliver. I hate to say this but he doesn't look up to this league.

Also I think we should give credit to Soton for their spirited performance in the second half

    He created the chances himself

Our other strikers wouldn't have been able to spin a defender and beat them for pace. He's the only one with both strength and pace, it's just the finishing thats his problem.

    Of course it was

3-0 up and they would have collapsed.

I think KO was a real problem for soton. Its just a pity he cant find the net as he did almost everything else. Maybe give him another start in the hope he finds some confindence. He got himself into three very good situations today but nerves got the better of him.

Soton did play well in the last 35 mins andbut it was in part due to tired legs in our centre midfield. Stan was also shattered.

Aye Stan had run himself into the ground

also didn't they change their centre half who KO had been giving the run around at half time ?

he would be no use until

the last 3 months of his contract...which would probably have been March 2009...
