Yeah, and then bang on about how patriotic they are afterwards... I prefer the minute silences but, as you rightly point out, it's a sign of the times...
Silences are alright in their place .. like tragedies and out and out sadness. ButI think it's fitting sometimes to celebrate lives, rather than mourn passings. Obviously I don't know how the guy himself would feel, but I have a sneaking suspicion he might prefer the latter of the two options.
