£4 for a pie and a pint in Redders bar....reasonable tbh and its quite a decent venue. As for the game, .....I was bored silly until the first goal but then it all came together and it could have been 7 or 8 at the end. I did think Luke Perry / Chuck Berry or whatever he is called was poor but again he improved in the second half. Well done reds. Got to give a quick mention to Huddersfield Red and Offspring who wanted Chris Powell in last week.....what a pair of clowns. And to end a packed issue, thereev thinks reds fans should enjoy Devante Cole while he is here because he won't be here long, if today's promise is realised. Hopethishelps my devoted followers. Oh I forgot to mention in all the excitement of issue 2, there were no pork scratchings for sale... schoolboy error. Hth
Evening, Mr Reev. What's wrong with Chris Powell? I rate him, but I wouldn't touch Hudders with a bargepole if I were him. The Chairman is a bit too trigger-happy for my liking. Devante Cole is insanely good. He is not just Premier League standard - he is top four Premier standard. (Top two?). Anyway, more to the point, how did you get on on the Knavesmire? Regrettably it was Orsen 1 Bookies 2! (1 Drawn)
Ponty and I both said the same about the first twenty minutes but once we clicked into gear we were superb. No pork scratchings? Is the place being run by amateurs.
To be fair, Robins walked, the chairman stated he was prepared to give him time...Robins seems to like a walk...
We will remedy for you Mr Reev. Funnily enough, I was working in London this week and was out on Thursday night and the bar I was in had the most amazing pork srcatchings with a little thing of apple sauce. Sent Loko and Hicksy a photo as an idea for the bar.
Aye, it's £6 for a burger and a drink once you're inside the ground..... Redfearns... you know it makes sense. Plus you get to meet some of the delightful bar staff volunteers in Redfearns.
But Grayson wasn't doing a bad job for them? And didn't Lee Clarke get the bullet despite only losing about four games in 60?
Readers bar huge failure yesterday. Planned to get in at 2 queue outside and only letting folk in when people leaving. Concluded that people don't go to in to come out early so went to the mount. Ar kid were in redders already and said it weren't heaving so I recon it is now running as good as it's going to get. . . Worst bit was I didn't take any Wilsons pies expecting to get a Percy growler. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Stats can be very misleading and the Lee Clarke stats prove this theory. On paper you'd think he was a good manager but in reality he spent a fortune by third division standards yet failed to meet his objectives. His record since he left does show that he's a bang average manager at best (in my opinion of course).
This is gonna be a big issue for Redders bar. Arranging to meet people inside isn't a good move and meeting outside with no guarantee of entry. I'm not sure what the sensitivity is on numbers as I was in an hour before game, didn't look heaving but plenty of people in. Shame really as it's a good venue, good beer and the pies were great.
We have a 150 capacity and once that's reached it's one in one out. Unfortunately nothing we can do about this.
Is the capacity on fire regs? If so what bit, fire escapes, room size etc. it would be great to get the number to 200 which perhaps would be perfect for match days and balance off the queues and wait.
Any manager would be stupid to want to manage Huddersfield. Dean Hoyle gets away with alot for being a lifelong fan, but he's not that much of a better owner than Karl Oyston who gets alot of stick. Banked 8 million for Rhodes and hardly any was spent as they became reliant on loans rather than signing someone. Made another two million recently by replacing Clayton/Norwood with Buttercup/Coady. Lets see how much of the two million difference gets spent. Agree about Cole too. He will be playing for a championship club in the second half of the season, so lets enjoy him whilst we can.
there were in total 238 through the door in total, but as Paul says ithe capacity at any one time is 150
