thereev's report on tonights 'evening with danny'

All four spoke well when they took the microphone. A few silly questions from the audience but hey you are always gunna get that.

One particular thing that struck thereev was and I loosely quote Jason saying 'I have picked up the word tarn, I may pick up a few more words if I am still here'. Mmmmmm sounds like Jason won't be here long to me.

Shame cos he does come across quite well but he will be used to far more examining people than he had to deal with tonight.

On the whole it was a reasonably entertaining our or so and I do think Danny is the man to lead us up......minimum play offs is his target. That will do for thereev but don't expect Jason to be here long term.

Two things I take from tonight, Mr Reev.

First is, Danny remains the straightest, most honest and straightforward manager we've had in my time. He tells it like it is - even the unpopular bits. If we don't prosper from here, then we ain't ever going to.

Second, Danny paid a very fulsome and sincere tribute to the hard work Ben has been doing in the Summer. I get the impression that they have an absolutely first-rate working relationship, and Danny doesn't do ********. Ben's in-depth knowledge and his clear thoughts about what he wants to do in the future convince me that he will stay with us. I hope so, because I think with the two of them together I think we will succeed.

Oh, third. Mark Crossley does a fantastic Cloughie impression!

And fourth: Prince Gagarin wins tomorrow's 7.00 Newmarket!

I agree, I normally avoid watching manager interviews and look for transcipts as they make me cringe (no idea why, they just do), but I enjoy listening to Danny's and watch/listen to them all.

 

I can't see it being out of the first three.

 

The jury is still out, he's redeemed himself a little in the last few weeks as it did become clear why it had taken us so long to sign any players, although I doubt Ben expected to be CEO of a League One club 12 months after doing the same kind of evening last year.

 

About a dozen back Mr Reev. Didn't ask any questions though - thought my Norwegian accent might give me away!

 

True, but it's a competitive three horse race! Should be odds against for PG.

 

We will have to agree to differ as I heard 'if I am still here'. That apart I think he comes across well and wish him well here at the club.
