Maybe we're not all as sad as me with nowt better to do on a Boxing Day. Well done today Reds, huge three points, if we can just follow it up with 3 more on Saturday then our position into the new year is a great one, especially compared to what I thought it might have been a few weeks ago. Well done to the players and to Simon Davey for that. Today - good stuff going forward and Kyel Reid has shown enough quality to forget about McIndoe - should have been MOTM today for me. Atkinson looked a bit nervous but who wouldn't with a keeper behind you with superglue on his boots? Improved 2nd half and looks to have some quality about him. Big congratulations too for Bobby Hassel who once again saved the day - looked like he had no right to reach that block with Colgan beaten. Maybe we also got the bit of luck we deserved, with the one on the line (I assume it was handball but didn't have a clear view) and the one off the post first half. That said we had two one-on-ones and hit the post ourself, as well as numerous chances in the first period. One final point - surely the ruling bodies have to look at the rule on what constitutes a 'professional foul.' When it came in the idea was to stop players from cheating deliberately in an attempt to prevent goalscoring opportunities. Today we saw their defender blatantly stretch out an arm and handle the ball as Reid ran through in order to do just that. It shouldn't matter whether he is successful - he is CHEATING. The ref should be able to go back and send him off regardless at the next break in play for me. Anyhow, we could be 8 points ahead of the bottom 3 on Saturday night. YOOOOUUUU REEEDDDDDDSSSSS!
