Firstly, I don't know what they are and I may be barking up the wrong tree here, BUT... Okay, of course you need to scout the opposition to see where they are dangerous, study their set-piece routines and that, but you can go too far and look at this too much, when really what I'd rather seen done was work on things to hurt the opposition. New things that they won't have seen us do in previous games and things that will pose them more questions defensively. I just think that sometimes you can over analyse an opponent without concentrating on yourselves - I don't know if that is the case with Barnsley, I'm merely debating.
We had a gameplan, and it was undone when QPR scored Maybe there is a misquote here but a plan that starts on the assumption it will stop the opposition scoring and isnt able to adapt if that happens is a bit of a daft one. Second half against Norwich our central midfield was cut to ribbons - it looked like our entire plan was based on stopping that happening again. It worked - trouble is we had no creativity at all and they could just go round the sides I think we were hoping for 0-0 and nick a goal - looked a bit lame after 4 mins
