I know but... I imagine if you looked back at case files and stuff the majority of these crimes would have been comitted by men.

Didn't the Police find the murderer's DNA at one of the crime scenes? If so that ought to determine whether or not it's a bloke.
What I do find bizarre........... is the CCTV footage of one of the victims on a train Can see it on here http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/suffolk/6188321.stm There's nobody else in the carriage and she's stood up!
