2014 a new year. A new era. I really hope Danny can put the heart back into Oakwell that 'Hillcroft' ripped out. They were the worst thing to happen to Barnsley since the ITV Digital bankruptcy. I hate Keith Hill

Just lost 2 to 1 against form team in Division with premiership ambitions and a squad to match and the moaners are out in force . An FA Cup Quarter Final and a miracle escape last year on a shoestring budget is not a reason for disappointment. All managers make mistakes including Danny Wilson. This leagues getting tougher role on Wednesday.

I don't think it's moaning to be fair. I've experienced a number of emotions at Oakwell, but that first 20 minutes was toe-curlingly embarrassing. Daft thing is we should have pinched a point!

It really isn't a moan about todays match it's a battling cry for a new improved era in the new year now we've got rid of the Rochdale Regime.

Derby were organised but not world beaters by any sense of imagination. Looking at them there's not that much quality seperating top and bottom. Had we played owt like we'd at least have had a point.

Problem is, how often do we play "owt like?" That's the difference.

Keith Hill left a year ago. It's like us blaming John Coleman for leaving us with loads of players who aren't good enough. We aren't because Hill has replaced them all.

Flitcroft made the decision to retain who he did and bring in the new signings, not Hill. If you'd gone down last season, Hill could rightly have been the recipient of a great proportion of the blame. As it was, the same players who now aren't good enough kept you up and were playing reasonably well. Flitcroft received good backing to shape his squad, that he chose the players he did is completely down to him.

This is not me coming on here to say Keith Hill is a great manager, he clearly wasn't for you lot, but not should he continue to take so much criticism so long after he's left. " Hillcroft" (rubbish phrase, never used it at Dale myself) ceased to exist the minute Keith Hill left Oakwell. Unless you're willing to say he did really well helping with keeping you up at Huddersfield last May.

442 I understand what you're saying but it isn't as simple as 'we can't blame Hill after so long'. The thing is Mr Hill set the club down a slippery slope with regards to lowering expectations, bringing in players of questionable quality and putting the more average players on longerontracts the the better ones, complaining about how the world was against us which isn't what Barnsley is about and most importantly, alienating the fans. He built a dark cloud over Oakwell. Now's the time to rebuild. The Barnsley Way.Not Rochdale. BARNSLEY.

The main issue is the mentality of his players that we can't change.

Hill might have done all that, but Flitcroft came in, made his own choices, did well for a while then messed it all up. Which of the players would you have released at the end of last season that Hill left you with? Sorry, blame Flitcroft, not Hill. He had the chance and the backing o do what he wanted.

But that's down to the individuals. The same ones who were performing very well at the end of last season. If they had issues then, Flicker should have got rid.
