... And they should make their minds up. Either we chain up the gates, close the doors and switch off the ****ing lights - or we man up and start to get relevant to football again.

As things stand we are everybody's whipping boys. Anyone can roll up to Oakwell - not only can they expect to get three points, they must know that there is a good chance they can break us down and crush us over the course of ninety minutes.

For me the current manager and players need to take a long hard look at themselves. If we don't ****ing mean it - to hell with it. Shut the ****ing club down. It's been too long since anyone has treated Barnsley FC like we matter. Good players treat us like a stepping stone and stay five minutes. **** players suck and leach a generous wage out of us. We let the good ones go. We keep the dregs.

The whole thing feels like a club going down the toilet.

This isn't just about Wilson or this current crop of players. This has been going on for year after year without any accountability towards the supporters, season ticket holders or the town.

Football itself is a genuinely repugnant game with very few players that you could admire as people or as professionals. I'm long past the point of caring about England because I know that the FA are more preoccupied with milking the News International cash cow. The state of Barnsley FC is sorrowful. If it was a dog I'd have it put to sleep, I really would.

It gets to the point where there are only parasites holding the place together. If you got rid of all the **** the rest of the club would collapse anyway. We've been sinking for years. That's the big picture. At one point - just one point - i thought we were putting a side together. Butterfield and Co came together under Hill - did we build on that, strengthen the defence, put a bit of quality in the midfield? No, we couldn't wait to flog every bit of quality we had for a pittance.

This isn't one bad Saturday when we got beaten at home 3-0. This is us, drowning in the third division, not good enough for this division. That's the quality of vision and leadership we've had at Oakwell - this hasn't happened overnight and it hasn't been an accident. Every year we managed to stay up - every year we cheated the devil in the Championship relegation dogfight - it was a chance for us to make the next season count.

    I'm disgusted. Absolutely disgusted.

I genuinely feel your pain, but shutting the club down is just plain daft. As pointed out elsewhere, we've got a young side and we'll have games like these and MK Dons. I'm happier with the current set up than I was with last year's. I think we've got zero confidence or belief. If Cole scores or squares for Winnall it's a different game. I think they're intimidated at home, there's an edge at the moment and restlessness from the fans a kind of 'here we go again'. I know you're speaking about a longer term malaise, but a couple of wins at home and life seems better.

Then someone should kick them up the ****ing arse then. They are each paid the kind of wages that the private sector considers top money. Do we have anyone on less than 50k? For thirds division not ****ing good enough football? I bet we have plenty on 100k. It's a ****ing privilege to earn your corn playing professional football. How many of them show it? Disgrace. People should be livid on here tonight. Livid.

Let's just sleep walk this one through until we don't have a club any more.

Ronnie Glavin used to say that teams come to Oakwell to steal something, we stop them doing that. Teams come now to fill their pockets and boost their goal difference. Yes, we want to bring the young players on, but getting ar**holed every week isn't helping. We have to do enough to stay in contention. This isn't good enough, it's broke and it needs fixing.
