Got it back to 3-2 within 10 minutes of the restart so we take off our two strikers and an attack minded midfielder. How utterly bizarre. Sorry, I'm not allowed to comment am I.
you're spot on jay - will robins peel off his face mask to reveal he is in fact simon davey this afternoon.
No that's a "moaning behind your keyboard" comment and seemingly frowned upon. You should rejoice that QPR haven't reached double figures Yet
Yeah, having an opinion on a game, that wouldn't do Particularly after listening to the most abject drivel from three quarters of this baord for the last two years.
RE: Yeah, having an opinion on a game, that wouldn't do He brought on one of the defenders you were all calling for to be playing, and we conceded 2 goals. Hume hasn't scored all season - Bogdanovic has. I have no idea whether the substitutions look like they made sense to people at the game because I'm not there, but they've clearly backfired. We should sack him and go and take Ronnie Moore from Rotherham.
I agree with Jay. We pull 2 back and have the momentum. Was the wrong time to make subs IMO, especially taking off the creative ones!!
I'm not disagreeing either. I'm not at the game and I have no idea what looked like it would have made sense. If I was a football manager I'd have banished Rob Kozluk from the side a good while ago, but reading the pre-match comments, most people wanted him to start today. He's come from the bench and we've quickly conceded two goals.
People are so ridiculously extreme I've made a comment on the subs that seem bizarre to me and the selection of defenders, which in my opinion is indefensible. This is a Barnsley FC forum for discussing the team, which is what I've done. If you disagree with my comments that is fine, but abuse by one and juvenile comments from another suggesting I want to sack the manager is frankly ridiculous. You don't know how to hold a discussion.
jay am not saying i dont agree with all you have to say but im fed up to the back nackers of readin negative stuff towards the manager whoever it is
Oh come on Jay. Talking of an extreme reaction - As if I was genuinely suggesting you wanted the manager sacked, geez. I was making a point that everyone views things differently: - You wanted Kozluk to start. - Robins wanted him on the bench. - I'd say he was a league 2 defender at best and have him nowhere near the setup. The beauty of football is that everyone has a different opinion of situations/players etc. Personally I wouldn't be taking Hume off but we have no idea if he has a knock, or if he was visibly very tired - and we all know Bogdanovic has a knack of getting goals. Its clearly backfired today but its not as if any other BFC manager in the last 50 years has had any success at Loftus Road. I know you don't want the manager sacked, and I understand your points, surprised you saw it any differently.
RE: People are so ridiculously extreme just on here to rile u up mate, what your saying makes sense. If people dont like it they shouldnt read the posts and come on here, its a football forum!!!!!! forum where people discuss there team and tactics
RE: Oh come on Jay. i agree kozluk is crap at the moment but don,t see how you can say he,s a league 2 defender when he,s played most of his career in the championship.
I've praised Robins to the hilt since he arrived I've been so impressed with how he's conducted himself in the media, while the games against Deby were absolutely top draw, much better than we've seen for a long, long time. But today the team selection in terms of defence was just wrong and if I see that then I'm going to say so. Similarly, the substitutions make no sense to me. I like to talk about Barnsley, so I post my comments. I don't expect you agree with me, but I do expect to he replied to in the same tone as I post.
He didn't used to be a League 2 defender... He used to be very solid. But he's come back slower, his reaction to situations has got worse, and his ability (along with Foster) to give away completely needless freekicks around the box is causing us a real problem when he plays. It may be a case that its just form, but to me, he's just looked shot to pieces this season.
RE: Oh come on Jay. I certainly wouldn't have changed the defence after Tuesday, but neither would I have brought on a fullback at the expense of a creative midfield player after scoring two goals in ten minutes. It just seems that unless you tow the party line you are anti-Robins or worse still pro-Davey (and this after years of abuse for Simon Davey) and it's getting a bit boring. I'm very much for Mark Robins, but I believe he made a number very serious mistakes today and I see no reason why I shouldn't express that view.
