Come from behind to win a point in a game in which we look ok, certainly improving you'd say, and yet the keyboard warriors are out with their stats to prove hill is about as much use as a penis flavoured lollipop and needs sacking, to be replaced with god knows who but whom will undoubtedly have us climb the division at an impressive rate of knots. Give it a rest. Criticise when they are bad, get outplayed and lose. If you must. The fact that one or two appear to have formed strong opinion without having actually watched a game doesn't help. Though I know that doesn't apply to all, before the protests begin. Don't spout pre prepared stats that you've been dying to share though - I shall mention no names but I get the real feeling that some posters on here actually hope Barnsley lose so they get chance to whine - to the extreme that even when we play ok and draw, that still qualifies as a loss.
I wouldn't worry about it, none of them have been, they're criticising them on the basis of BBC stats..
how the **** can you defend his record, worst in the history of barnsley, any other club in 2012 record would of sacked him, end of
I'm pleased that we seem to have played reasonably well - I want Barnsley to win EVERY game, but you have to admit that the stats that someone posted earlier, of 6 points out of the last possible 33, is worrying. Looking forward to going to Watford on Saturday; expecting nothing from the game so it will make my weekend if we manage even a draw.
You sound a bit like an old poster on here called Barnsley Bomber who never had a good word for the club and thankfully resigned. It's funny how another one comes over the Hill, if you pardon the smutty pun.
The amount of negativity of ridiculous. We played well today and made Burnley look very poor. Had we not conceded that early goal we'd have won comfortably.
But we did concede. A very poor goal. We didn't put them under that much pressure. They had us pinned in for a lot of the second half
I must have missed that match !!! We didnt play all that well, Burnley ARE a poor side ,we did concede a goal and we never looked like winning comfortably, in fact we never looked like winning. Getting the players in their proper positions helps and it was better than before, but your synopsis is just wrong, in my opinion.
Post your negative opinion on an internet forum and you're a keyboard warrior who should be criticised for being so negative. Say the exact same negative opinion in any pub in Barnsley, on the street, in the bogs at Oakwell or to your mate at work and you're perfectly normal and expressing a perfectly acceptable opinion. Makes sens to me.
If you went to the match did you sit with your eyes close, fingers in your ears and sing la la la la for the second half? Not entirley sure what 'pinned in' means but we had much the better of the second half and I don't recall much pinning, in or otherwise.
I think you missed my point, you're right, we never really looked like scoring. But had we not conceded and then taken the lead Burnley would have had to come at us an we'd have got at least another goal. As it was, Charlie Austin did more defending than attacking.
