I still don't understand their issue with our forum.

And don't get me started on the poster who created that thread. Embarrassment springs to mind.

 

I wonder who "Acido" is?

 

Lets start a 'who is Acido' post to see if we can identify him. As for the rest of the post it was a waste of time reading it, but then I expect no better from that forum. A mate of mine said he joined and was banned because he put a post in the wrong place and agreed with Nudger. Anal springs to mind, as does delusions of grandeur.

A bit like some of our players some of the posters on there need a reality check.

 

That animallittle2 guy either has selective reading issues or is taking the pi55.

 

Never had a problem with either the site or the posters on Tykesmad when I've gone on there. Always respectful and polite. They're Barnsley fans like us, with wildly differing opinions about our club just like on here. Habit, preference and personal choice of site is the only difference that I can see.

 

I've smoothed everything over with them. As you were, BBS. :redface:

Got bored of it.

Used to post on bbc606 before that.

 

It was a bit more active when I was on there (wonder why?). But now, you can go hours without checking it, and there's about two new posts. I might try to show my face more often next season, if only to improve it with my presence.

Sometimes Tykesmad is quiet, it has its moments like any open forum. The posters on there are as varied as on here and the current moderators tend to just let things ride and step in only when necessary.

This forum sometimes has interesting threads but to say it all happens here is not correct, only recently a poster here referenced the thread that appeared on TM regarding Dawson and JOB rejecting contracts (it may turn out to be rubbish but its silly season everywhere) . I am sure it works both ways. In my eyes there is no reason why there should be any split between posters, all are welcome on TM and Im sure it works the other way also if forum etiquette is followed.

Best poster on there used to be , I think they called him Crazy Cripple ? He had some proper ding dongs with Charlie Brown (?). Usually about how ***** Simon Davey was, I seem to remember the Crazy one just wanted Davey to be sacked and went on about him being crap[ all the time . Do either of them still post ? They both were on the England Mad board as well.

 

This is genuinely the first time I've looked on there, "Tykesmad" always sounded very childish to me so I avoided it thinking it'd be nowt but tripe.

 

Two great names from the past. CrazyC does still make the occasional appearance, not been on for a while though, Charlie Browns , now there was WUM extraordinary. He had quite a knack of being able to wind folk up including myself at the time. I have a fair few exchanges with him, he stopped posting with one of our posters claimed they knew where he lived so sling it. So he did. A little odd but things between those two went OTT.

Many of the Characters we had have disappeared. Linz (Monkey) has her own spot on this forum and has her own section, she started out on Tykesmad.

I confess I do prefer the forum site here , more modern, not in your face adverts but TM is where I call home ...
