The way we just sat back and didnt press them on the ball. Davey obviously told them to do that cos they all did it! There was no urgency and they had no intention of breaking forward. It was 2 solid banks of 4 and hopless long balls forward. West brom were there for the taking yesterday and we wouldnt even commit 1 midfielder upfront witht he attackers. Hence the ball constantly coming back at us.

Why did we just sit back and let them play? We were asking for them to play the ball into the box.

Wonder what Davey and the players thought of the fans chanting for ritchie?

Same tactics as previous 2 home games. Pathetic imho.

And that chanting for Ritchie - no need.

that will have been because of those fluffy pink ear muffs you were wearing

Several chants of Rithcie give us a wave - which he did
And one large chant of only one andy ritchie - most of ponty sang it.

Because of injuries and stabbings only main difference to team yesterday than under ritchie was the fact we didnt attack from midfield. we still had an inept striker and dodgy defence.

I keep saying it - if Ritchie had done what he was supposed to and fetched in the quality of player he could have we would have had an amazing side to watch. If he had brought in that striker to finish the chances we were creating we would be flying. But no he stuck with fecking Richards. I could shake the man!

My point being that if it couldn't be heard from the East Stand

It probably couldn't be heard from dugout and directors box.

Did hear a chant of "give us a wave" but couldn't work out who it was being directed to....and I didn't realise Ritchie was in the Sky studio/tent.

I heard it from the middle of the West Stand Upper so I'd be very surprised if the directors/dugout didn't hear it.

I'd doubt they'd be at all bothered about the "Ritchie give us a wave chant"

Hayes actually said in the after match interview "During the second half we sat back", but implied it as a tactic rather than an error. Very worrying.

I heard the singing from my position in the East Stand...

I heard the chants and was in East Stand Lower on half way line.

I heard a couple of "Ritchie, Ritchie give us a wave" efforts at the start and just before the final whistle.

There was also a short lived "walking in a Ritchie wonderland" to follow up the one at the final whistle. Was in the Mount prior to the game and saw him appear on the TV as a pundit. An old fella in the pub stood next to me, shouted at the TV "gerrim off bloody rubbish"...what short memories eh?

IMHO think it was more of a salute to past glories (i.e. Cardiff) rather than a, 'we want you back Ritchie' kind of chant. Don't think it was anti-Sheppard or Davey, just a bit of a thank you for our promotion to one of our most likeable managers.

That's exactly what it was, and all it was ........

.... we had to move on, but thanks for what you did.

See no harm in it myself, it's only like clapping former favourite players when they come back with other teams

How long have you had this hearing problem?

Don't sit that far from you in East Upper and I could hear it as plain as day. And we could see AR's reaction to it.

    What worried me

Was that we were time wasting for the entire second half (and parts of the first), very surprised that colgan didnt get booked with the amount of time he was taking with goalkicks etc.

Was that Sky actually invited Ritchie to be there under the circumstances and the second most annoying thing was that Ritchie accepted the invitation.
