    Positives:-

    Dropped M'Voto
    Not put Fox back in

    Negatives:-

    Not sent Fox back
    Not recalled RNL
    Not given Digby a chance
    Persisted with Perkins
    Persisted with Etuhu
Too much tip tap when chaing the game at Burnley

I think he will continue things in the same manner as Flitctoft.

I don't want him to do these things just for me. I want you to benefit too.

You're just being a tad selfish.

A defeat tomorrow will leave the board in a very difficult position RE:Mellon
I sincerely hope we get 3 points on the board just to avoid being cut adrift.

Be interesting to see what formation he chooses tomorrow. The two away games we set up with a fluid formation to being the best out of Mellis and McCourt while remaining defensively stable. One up front at home to Yeovil particularly with both O'Grady and Pedersen fit would be a brave move.

He may not be able to recall RNL, we don't know the terms of the loan deal.

me neither, but I would not risk much money on it being anyone else if we won 5-0.

But I don't think dropping Perkins will benefit me. I think he's a good player. So do many others judging by the fact that he won the player of the year last season. I don't know if bringing Digby in to the side will benefit me. I haven't seen him play for 2 years, I don't know if he's good enough or if he's ready. I'd hardly say he's persisted with Etuhu. Etuhu wasn't getting a game, Mellon brought him in to the side and we won our first away game in months. I have no idea if we can send Fox back or if we can recall Noble-Lazarus.

I don't know if Mellon will be right for the job or not. But I do know everything that has happened so far, since he took temporary charge, has been a step in the right direction, a positive. Two away games, three points. Our first victory on the road since February and a narrow defeat to the top of the league where, by all accounts, we played well enough to win and really should have come away with a point.

Despite his diplomacy in interviews, trying his best no to insult Flicker, he's completely changed the team around, putting creative players in the centre of the park. Something we've all been crying out for. Speaking of interviews, what a refreshing change it is to have a manger who is straight talking, a quality that was used to describe both the previous incumbents, but was about as far away from reality as it's possible to get. It no longer sounds like I'm listening to Nik Kershaw's The Riddle and I can put my slide rule away as I don't have to decipher what our manager is talking about.

You don't have to want Micky Mellon as manager, we're all entitled to our own opinion about that, but let's not invent complaints in an attempt to undermine the job he's done so far. There's nothing to complain about, there are no negatives. I think we should be able to recognise that, even if we do believe the board should go in another direction.

Anyway, we're playing Yeovil this aft, if we lose there will be plenty to get stuck in to. But if you'd kept your powder dry until then, your grievances would look are lot more valid. Or we might win, and you never know, people might actually praise him.

    Positives
Put Mellis back in middle where he is nearly back to his best
Got the team playing good football
Got the team trying for him
Knows what the team has to do
Is working on the faults to correct them.
Wants team to play good possession football

    Wilson
    Negatives
Been out of top flight a long time
Does not know our players strengths and weaknesses
They may need to play a different system
Our players may not adjust to it
Some would never adjust to it
We would then lose the plot altogether

We played well at burnley first half , we still played a lot of tip tap football in midfield though, be interesting to see how we set up and play today at a home match

I will give you the point about Mellis. The rest are just flannel.

What I can't understand is that the board at BFC seem to be taking a decision on Mellon, based on a very short-term run of games.

Surely you look at the bigger picture and take into account his experience.......which is very good at Conference and Division 2 level.

So you're criticising us actually trying to retain the ball, something we've largely failed to do all season that has lead to us being where we are?

No mate, sorry it was for Connor, I can't quote the posts when using my mobile. I agree with you that a strategy of giving a caretaker manager 3 games to stake his claim doesn't really reflect a vision. But that said Mellon is doing a good job so far.

What we've failed to do is score enough goals and stop enough at the other end. We've also failed to press teams enough and we've failed to get enough bodies forward.

Nice passes a la Keef at the back wouldn't have fixed any of that IMHO
