People who talk about football clubs as "we" but they haven't been to see them for five years . By the way Leeds are too big to be in League One for very long as per "knob" at work
Not altogether fair that. I know of at least two who just cannot get to any matches, but still feel as tho they are Barnsley supporters. Id rarther that than those who just come out with "stupid game, grown men running round chasing a bladder of wind " One of these days I shall .... well I know I wont cause Im too Old.... but
Fair point if you can't get etc but this guy is in his early 30's and he could go but he's a Leeds fan any road
Theres a guy at work who is a fellow follower of the NFL, his team are the 49ers but whenever we discuss it he refers to them as "we", it's bizarre! My team are the Saints and I have actually seen them (that's why I follow them), but I never refer as "we". Tell him that a side that actually have been European Champions (twice!) have been in that division for 2 seasons.
Worse one to me When I worked in Leeds I didn't really mind the ones who regularly, or even occasionally, went to Leeds games because you'd get the banter and take the p*ss out of them and they do it back, but 1 guy that really annoyed me was mainly into motorsport, but when Leeds won he would be going on about it, taking the mickey out of Barnsley etc, but then when they lost (particularly when we beat them) you'd get "Oh, I'm not really into football"!
