    1) Chris O'Grady is black.

    I kid you not. With a name like O'Grady I genuinely thought we'd signed a ginger haired Irishman. "Who's that?" I asked me dad, pointing at the big lad with the number 27 on his back in our home game with Wolves. "It's Chris O'Grady."

    What a nob head. The fact that he'd scored against us just two months earlier right in front of where I sit in the Ponty End had done nothing to change my mental picture of him.

    You're not alone with that!
    Saw him at Blackpool away (his debut I think?) and couldn't believe it! Didn't think he looked very good either - shows how much I know!

    When we signed Deiniol Graham I thought he would be black (partly because Deiniol has a bit of a Denzil vibe, and partly because Herol Bomber Graham was one of Sheffield's top boxers around that time). Fuzzy logic.

    I asked my mate who he was when we played Wednesday at home as I was under the same impression. The opposite can be said of young Everton player Jose Baxter, who I thought was black.

    I also was under the impression that Michael Mifsud was good and that Diego Leon had played for Real Madrid. I was wrong on both accounts.
