It’s not fact yet but from what has been reported today: no new signings expected... looking at a few domestic transfers... I’m sorry but any player that is available domestically at this point, is still available for a reason... they are the scraps that no one else wants! the squad is so weak and is crying out for additions, but we’re just not going to bother.. Ludwig looks like being sold from under us, I know he’s not our player but obviously we didn’t protect against this in our loan agreement... Poor contracts/release clauses etc seems to be a recurring theme with us!! We are going to lose our manager in the next 24 hours after a week of knowing it was going to happen.. and what solution are we going with in the short term..., Murray again, as that went well last season!! I just hope they’ve used the last week when they should have been looking for players but haven’t to progress the search for a manager! after Danes state of the union address a few weeks ago when he was bugging up the talks with Mowatt, making it sound positive... he’s now quoted as saying we are miles away in the negotiations... we’ll we all know that if you don’t sign an extension we don’t allow saleable assets to go into the final year of there contract... so in my eyes that’s almost confirmation we’ll be losing him before next week!! our owners appear to have taken there eye off the ball I can only assume it’s because they are too busy embarrassing the club in courts arguing amongst themselves... I’m normally a glass half full type of person, but how can you be in the face in what we are having to put up with season after season.. I really thought we’d push on after last season, but no we have taken 3 steps backwards.. Well they say it’s the hope that kills you!! I think all hope is lost at this point of having a decent season, yet another relegation battle awaits!
Struber's poor tactics and substitutions are the reason we're where we are. Not the board. Had we picked a decent team we'd be higher up the table. Mowatt will no doubt leave because of being played as a sweeper instead of an attacking midfielder. Likewise Woodrow a midfielder and Chaplin a winger. I'm celebrating the fact that a manager who'd lost the plot is leaving. No doom and gloom at all from me. I think the team is good enough. That's allowing for Ludewig leaving too.
Jeez !!!! With all due respect - honestly that post is probably the weirdest post I’ve seen in years.
I think you make some valid points & many will agree with you. I think the board may look at some of Struber's signings, particularly Ritzmaier & Freezer & with it looking likely he is to depart not wanting him signing any more players. Hard to say with Mowatt, we may get an offer in January we have to take if he doesn't sign a new deal. Maybe a couple of loans of young lads from the bigger clubs (replacement for Ludewig & a striker) may be the only solution for now. Hopefully we can see Oduor in the starting line up too. I know he was meant to have an injury, but has been on the bench the last few weeks. Not all doom & gloom, I certainly don't want any more panic buys.
Do you honestly think he's the same manager since restart. Already been pointed out he was graced with 5 subs which in 2 games at least led to lay minute goals. He was good, but he was lucky. We still almost bottled it. His tactics and choices were questionable all season but we looked decent so we ignored it. Since season restarted we've been terrible and boring to watch, do you see that changing if he stays? I don't.
I wanted him to stay because he had his signings he did keep us up and we need some continuity, I wasn't enarmoured with his diamond system and we did get lucky with lockdown because it suited us with the lack of pressure of crowds and our fit young team. And the Wigan fiasco ( and yes they did deserve the ppints deduction)
No I think he’s turned into hallowe’en pumpkin. Of course he’s the same. He’s just fed up with not getting the backing.
I am going for Magic Mike Bahre to be player of the season once Disco and Sir Bobby take over and bring him back in from the wilderness.
I think if we had a clause that stipulated no recalls, the new parent club would have to honour that. Like your landlord selling your house while you're still in it.
Potentially that could have scuppered the deal. Leaving us in a position of accepting that someone could buy him vs. finding another target.
