Whipping up the supporters for Saturday & Tuesday night. We'll sell more tickets if folks think there's gonna be a decent turnout. We filled that upper tier for LDV games a couple of years back: we should be taking a few thousand for the league gameat least, (ok it'll be the obligatory 2-1 last minute jammy winner for them .... but there's always the chance that this could be the year!) but it needs a bit of marketing by the club I think. Having been at virtually all those painful defeats, I sure as hell want to be there if & when we get a result there. (Y)
Doesn't Help Having A Local Derby On A Night Match It's the closest away game and yet the toughest for me to arrange for. I've an appointment late afternoon, which leaves it too late for official coach. If I catch the train, i'd probably get in around seven IF everything is on time. There's always the car option, but then there's parking, getting away quickly etc to worry about. Why couldn't it have been on a saturday (Y) (Y) (Y)
it's too near Christmas evryone will be out and about shopping-my guess is 953 with 721 Watford supporters-if we squash up a bit we can all fit in the Executive boxes so the noise doesn't disturb the local residents-
Count yourself lucky! Some of us have to travel much further. I'm working til 5 and have to leave immediately, going to be a long night, but **** it, it'll be worth it. And we have to sort parking/tram etc
Sorry but the only valid excuses for missing this game are:- Being in hospital, giving birth to child (2004) and Cousins Wedding (last year) - I did my best to get the police/ Sky sports to rearrange the fixture, but for some reason they wouldn't oblige (furious)
Kin ell Try getting from Central London when you have to work till 4pm.
Even harder, try and get home for work the next day.
Sideways on a stick, etc

I refuse to go to wednesday Its always ****, usually pissing it down, pain with traffic, can't get a beer anywhere near ground unless you can string a 2 minutes sentence together only using the words dee, dah, duck and europe in five years. Although maybe a mumble of allen out would work this year.
Factor in the rush to get there from work, and the fact that I would be disappointed and at least £30 lighter, I really can't be arsed. That and spooks is on.
Not a proper fan!

RE: Doesn't Help Having A Local Derby On A Night Match Could walk it or cycle from Huddersfield! Sorry bu lame excuses won't do.
RE: Kin ell How you getting from the station to Hillsborough ? Cos driving for me may not be an option seeing as I've to get through rush hour deedar traffic these days.
We get into sh*tfield at 18.48
So we've got a bit of a run on to get up there for KO. Its walkableat a push, but I'd be hoping to find a quicker way.
Can you fetch 4 pushbikes down?

Hull brought a big following to Oakwell last year and took 7000 on a Tuesday night to Swillsborough a couple of years back, no excuses if we don’t go there in numbers, unless Dull are a bigger team than us. Horse & Jockey – Advertised as an away fans boozer 250, Wadsley Lane, Sheffield, South Yorkshire S6 4EF http://maps.yell.com/clients/browse...&location=S6&scrambleSeed=6697359&potential=0 I don’t remember it raining at Hillsbrough. Been there for every game there since the Premier League game as I’m not old enough to have gone before that. Piggy Lane on the other hand is a different story. Usually the opposite, we get results but it always rains.
RE: Doesn't Help Having A Local Derby On A Night Match Oh I will be there. Just not sure how yet Hopefully a few drinks somewhere in Barnsley till about 6:30 and then get there through someone driving.
Losing 2-1 is bad enough but it's even worse when your star striker missed what would have been the winner 10 minutes from time. Here's hoping for a 5-0 thrashing this time so we won't have that bitter feeling of what might have been.
Last time I went to Swillsboro We won 2-1 Norman Hunter scored the winning goal. We were in the Sheffield cop end but had to cheer. Bloke next to me threw his pork pie on the floor and stamped on it.
