Sounds daft but they still have a possibilty of automatic promotion if they catch Birmingham.

Birmingham play Preston on Saturday who are pushing for play offs and they could lose. This means Reading need to beat Norwich on Monday
for certain and will give them added incentive.

Then, the interesting bit, why Reading can't relax they play Birmingham the last match to get the same points.

However look at Readings goal difference its massive. so Reading will go up 'Automatic'

Of course thats if Blunts slip up, which they could

They play Swansea on Saturday (ring any bells) and Warnocks team last match (will Colin want to lose ?)

I agree to an extent but the problem is (and it's unfair in my opinion) that Reading don't play while Monday so Birmingham can get the point they need Saturday which would deem the Reading game almost meaningless to them.

If they played Saturday at the same time then they would have to go for it and hope Brum slip up.

It'll depend on what we do next

2 points clear, 2 games to go. It's in our hands.

In bizarre world where I live, it may work in our favour now that we have to win v Wolves to pretty much secure safety as if we'd won last night Simon might've gone for a 'do not lose' tactic v Wolves, and that normally ends in defeat. As it stands we have to be positive.

Looking at all the bottom 6 clubs fixtures - there's going to be a few surprises, I wouldn't like to predict who will beat who.

If we are good enough, we will stay up

if we arent, we will go down. Simples.

    All things being equal

We could send our best side out on Setdi, play our ballacks off, play positive football from the start and still get our arses whooped. Fact is, Wolves have a better team than us.

Having said that, we could play utter gash in our final two games, lose them both and still stay up.

Burnley are a much better side but we've had 6 points off them.

I'm not saying we can't win

Just look how poorly we played at Oxford after we were promoted. Or how utter gash we were at home to Crewe after we'd secured a play-off place in the Bassett season. Wolves may not fancy it at all.

However, if we do lose and are relegated I won't look back on this fixture and think 'if only'. It's our crap results against the weaker sides in the division that have been our downfall.

    Absolutely.

So'ton away - Hume's last minute open goal miss.

Norwich home - Macken's penalty miss.

Preston away - defending on our 18 yard line giving them space to notch a last minute winner.

Swansea away - ditto last minute equaliser.

    Forest home - penalty miss.

    Points pissed away

'Gash' ... word of the week is it ?

Your right though ...... won't be down to Saturday if we go down.

The last 3 away games have shown what can be acheived with a bit of thought and planning ..... a few extra draws on the road and we'd be fine now.

    Likewise

If we had played coventry when we should have then they'd have something to play for, last night they didn't (Still got a point though)

What about when we played palace the other week? Did they have anything to play for? (cant remember if they could have got into play-offs still)

Not enough discipline in the side to see most games out.

    rather.............

a better home record-a point a game away from home on average is enough to stay up easily so long as you do the business at home
