Think Tank proposal: Barnsley to be part of Sheffield

No it's not yet April the First. Some group of highly paid persons have decided that we need larger city units, and that Barnsley should become part of either Leeds or Sheffield. I was under the impression that we are currently in a large unit called South Yorkshire, and if they propose a larger one, we could go back to the pre-Heath changes and resume our position in the West Riding of Yorkshire.

 

Isn't wakefield the nearest city?

 

We still are in the West Riding of Yorkshire, they never disappeared.
