Best team I’ve seen all season. Totally outplayed us. We couldn’t deal with their high press and they just passed it through us. Granted, we gave them a hand by being useless up front, ******* useless in midfield and absolute ******* ***** in defence, but that doesn’t take away from how drilled they were. That’s 6 wins and 5 draws from their last 11 games, letting in 3 goals in their last 10. They only have Oxford away and Pompey at home of the teams above them to play, with the latter being the final game of the season when they will probably already be champions. 6 points behind Stevenage, who have a game in hand, but have 4 of the top 7 left to play, and they couldn’t beat 10 man Fleetwood at home today. Not gonna talk about our performance or players today because I think I’ll break the swear filter.
They were *****, that first half good god - we gifted them goals and made them look like Brazil. They weren't a patch on Bolton.
They pressed really well and took their chances whilst we didn’t. It didn’t help that the ref seemed to be allowing them to put in some hard tackles/ leaving a foot in during the opening 20 minutes or so with no foul given. Fair play though, sometimes we just have to accept that the better team on the day won.
They weren’t that good. They didn’t need to be. We were just awful, so, plainly bad. Lincoln won’t make the playoffs most likely but if they do they won’t win them.
My feelings too, they were that bad that at HT myself and the folk around me were saying we couldn't care less about the form table they were **** and scored from the few chances they had. We gifted them the goals
If we end up in the playoffs and it's a if at the moment experience is a big thing.I would still see us as favourites at Wembley due to us being there last May.
Thought first half other than the goal that we totally dominated them i certainly didn’t see that coming although we were **** second half.
Lincoln don’t seem to be letting up do they? 16 goals in the past three games. I can’t imagine any team would fancy meeting them in the play-offs.
