love tignes, skied there a few times, keep going back year on year.

neilson have tignes pretty much sewn up witht eh good chalets, www.neilson.co.uk/ski

last place i stayed in was a little chalet between tignes val claret and tignes le lac (about a 10 minute walk across a frozen lake betweenthe two).

the chalet was called chalet l'armoise, dinner bed and breakfast, and cake and coffee in the afternoon. if you can ski a bit, you can also ski to your door.

great skiing bnut quite a hefty transfer time from lyon.

    hope that helps.

ps, tingnes le lac is the livliest of this split resort.
