    ...I wonder what ours cost v Bradford's - over a million?

    I'm thinking:

Winnall - in the region of £200,000
    Hourihane - again around £200,000
    Jennings - reported at £250,000

Several others from £100,000 and below (as reported anyway).

They're at the top end of the league, albeit not with a load more points than us, but we are struggling to even tread water in this division, they have gone down the free transfer route rather than loans.

I wonder if there's a case to say a player without a club, who has maybe had to really wonder whether he has a career in the game, is a much better way to top up a squad than to loan players who don't have the same insecurity.

I see your point Andy but I think there's only really Treacy out of those three who didn't deserve a go, he has a physique very similar to myself and I literally never exercise so god knows what he did in training.

Brown - probably a bit sensitive to criticism and struggled for confidence.

Lita - still think he's a 1 in 2.5 striker but you have to play him every week for that to be the case.

20 games without a goal or summat isn't it?

He'll not be here next season. Can see the logic behind his arrival, but it's not worked out at all.

I think the way we're playing at the minute even Costa would struggle to score.

Matt Bailey said in commentary yesterday that we were "powder puff" in midfield, I must admit I had to look up was this really meant and it's a description that is bang on. Games are won and lost in midfield (correct cliché) and our midfield is sh*t unless it's somehow got the ball on the edge of the opposition box.
