When was this decision actually made by South Yorkshire's finest? I only found out about it when I got in from work tonight. Consequently, one mate travelling from Chester and another from London were without tickets. Hang on I thought, ring the box office (I don't live in Barnsley) and pay for them by plastic. "Sorry the box office is now closed" said the recorded voice, despite the announcement on the website that it would be open until 7pm. Called in a big favour and rang a mate to go down there in person, literally flew down there & just got in before it closed. He got the 2 tickets required by the skin of his teeth. Box Office said to him "We always turn our phones off at 5pm in any case". Brilliant. Well done SY Police and Barnsley FC. Especially Barmsley FC for turning your phones off when it was a last minute "all ticket" call by the plod. Well, f*ck you BFC, that's another Season Ticket holder lost, whether we stay up or not. Totally fed up of your rank incompetence and disregard for your paying customer.
the club are ***** no one seems to be putting the work in i know just about every season ticket price in the championship apart from ours for next season and most clubs are selling them now and ive seen most of the kits for next season apart from ours they dont seem bothered
In this day and age it should be possible to purchase tickets 24/7 - its not like the internets only been around for a few years!
If it was they didn't tell me via email They do email me regularly to sell me Barnsley World and other crap etc but can't remember anything about Wolves game being all ticket. To be honest, it's probably my fault for not checking the Official Site; it's so full of rubbish I rely on this BBS for news.
The club did say that prices would not go up I suspect that they are waiting until they know what division we are in before making the final decision i.e. They'll drop prices more if we are relegated.
