There will be some bargains to be had Mr Reev but you will have to quick as they get snapped up rather quickly. Like the good players are in pre season when folk do their business early
A lot of places will up the 'original' price to make the BF offers look better than they are. So much competition around on this. I was looking last week for a decent PS4 bundle for the, er, kids (cough) and was thinking of waiting until Friday, but soon obvious that they're all going for it now with the bundles. Obviously this had nothing to do with me wanting to play the Star Wars game. Oh no, not at all....not one bit, no.... Anyway, I went for it. If somewhere's cheaper/better on Friday, so be it - I'll not lose any sleep. Check out this page over at hotukdeals - changes by the minute, but has links to all the best XB offers doing the rounds. http://www.hotukdeals.com/search?action=search&keywords=xbox+one
In a lot of cases it is a con. Why have a 'sale' when people are going out to buy Christmas presents?
This. I think a lot of retailers sell on the **** they want rid of at 'sale' prices so people think they're getting a bargain. I can understand why they do this, it makes sense but the way some folk behave in shops to 'save' a few quid is deplorable.
There'll be a lot of fake deals, as mentioned reduced from an already inflated price, there will be a lot of deals where they only have very limited stock and in some cases have removed some of the better stuff from sale. But if you are lucky you will find a good deal, mind you it will probably be something you don't want or need, according to the news there's loads of impulse buys returned later a week.
http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/xbo...9-99-delivered-shopto-via-ebay-amazon-2327462 This looks decent for less than £280
If you look at places like Amazon, they'll do one amazing offer like a 52 inch tele for £100, then use the rest of the day to empty their store rooms of the crap they can't sell. Last week's "deal" was 80% off a brake light bulb for a certain make of caravan. You'll struggle to find an Xbox I reckon and you'd have to have the day off work to fully get involved. It's carp reev. Even if you do find any decent deals on what you want (unlikely) you have to get involved in what can only be described as 'scrums' (with punching allowed) to get them. I've too much class and decorum to bother, I'd rather just buy at my own leisure and pay a few extra quid.
Somewhere like Game for example might knock a fiver off the X-Box and call it a Black Friday deal. Most places, as mentioned elsewhere, will advertise ridiculous reductions but only have one or two of the item, other places (like the aforementioned Game) have on-going reductions of very little (like a fiver) and call them Black Friday deals. Basically (as others have said) a con. A concept that has actually eaten itself before being fully realised.
Just been in to currys looking at TV's and guy told me they did like 5x sales of a normal given Friday, on last years black Friday. He also told me if I was to buy something before and the item had been reduced on black Friday .........to come back with the receipt and they would knock the price I paid off the item.
Best Bargains are on game, im getting 2. At moment you can get 1TB xbox one with 3 games including Fifa 16 for £319. I doubt they will be any cheaper on friday than they are today http://www.console-deals.com/xboxone/
