A combination of "run in depression" and a lack of provocative threads to get the old juices flowing.
Secretly - does everyone feel that Saturday's failure, combined with poor form, was probably the defining moment of our demise from automatic contention, and possibly the playoffs - or do we feel that there'still realistic hope?
Cos I detect a certain "malaise" on here.

We are not a top 6 side I personally believe that our league position has belied how we have actually played for weeks now. this 'we out played them but still lost' stance is us all over, and Ritchie's words about 'still confident about making the playoffs' are words of desperation really. we're not scoring goals, cant consistently keep clean sheets, and seem to lack the bottle when the pressure is on. all of the above tells me a lot of people who are still clinging onto the faint hope that we might scrape back into the top 6 are going to finish the season disappointed. the gauling thing is that none of the top 6 teams are particularly good, but seem to have more of the above than we have. with Burns and Hassell in the side, we'd have probably stuck a chance, but to not replace Burns or to even attempt to strengthen for the run in is more than just inexperience, its plain daft. I sincerely hope Ritchie is given some funding and encouragement to really go for it in the summer, and that somehow he's able to convince the likes of Windass that we're realistic about going up. cos next season will be even harder and the accounts, although improving, dont bode well.
There's always hope, but perhaps relying on other teams cocking it up, rather than going on a fantastic run ourselves.
RE: We are not a top 6 side I'm starting to think we have run out of steam, young players , lack of experience... hope we have a late run and take it into the play-offs though...still 18 points to play for when alls said and done.
