It's really bad around this neck of the woods. One of our local schools had 200 pupils off in one day.

There are 2 bugs going round

    but they are connected.

One is a flu type one - cough, cold, headache, feel very achy and tired. The cough takes ages to get rid of.

The other one is Sickness and Diarrhoea.

Before Christmas I was off with the Sickness one and so was half of my class (15 of us altogether).

Puking (w)omiting and wearing a Pancake Tuesday shirt.

Incidentally do you think the King of Nepal should go into exile or be put on trial ?

Aye Tom had the 2nd one before Christmas

Yesterday he'd got headache and didn't want to eat (not like him at all!)

But seeing as they've gone off to Center Parcs today I guess he's a lot better!

Hope you are enjoying half term Laura

    Keep an eye on him

I started with a headache and then ended up with the sore throat, bad cough etc. and was off school for nearly two weeks.

His headache could have been brought on with excitment at going away.

Bit difficult when I'm at home/work and he's down in Center Parcs......but he's in excellent hands as his mum's a nurse.

    RE: What are the symptoms?

It's similar to the Norwark virus. It starts with a head ache which is soon followed by severe vomitting and diarrhoea. The kids, and adults,  are advised not to go back to school/work until 48 hours after the symptoms have stopped.
